Reciprocal and One Way Link Guide

Why do i need to look for reciprocal links, backlinks or one way links ? basicly the more links pointing to your online website or blog the more important the search engines think you are. remember search engines are robots and when they spider your website all they are looking for are content and links.

What is the best way of getting links? the free reciprocal link type is by far the easiest way to gain an exchange basicly by asking other website owners who have similar sites for a link on their website and in turn you put their website link on your site. this is called a reciprocal link. sort of like you pat my back and I’ll pat yours.

The one way or backlink type is a little more difficult as what you are asking a simalar website owner to do is, set up a link from their site to yours sharing their traffic and thus highlighting your importance to the search engines. these are the most powerfull links to gain and therefore more difficult to get hold of, some websites will offer featured links this normaly contains your logo discription and hyperlink to your site, for a fee of course. another way to get free one way links is by article writing. It is by far the best way to get free one way links. you can just google articles directories you will find all you need there but which ever route you decide to follow when gaining more links pointing to your site consider the following

1. Sites that provide simalar goods or content to yours are the best sites to get links on, if you sell cat food you want links on cat food sites - what use would customers or traffic from a shoe supplier be.

2. Never get involed with plans that offer to get you thousands of links pointing to your site in an instant, google can peanalise you for it so beware.

3. Make sure your link on another website has anchor text with it, once again if your selling cat food feature this in the anchor text and do not include things link click here click me ect ect.

4. Remember you dont have to have all your links pointing at your homepage, most websites have individual categories for their products for example cat food, dog food, fish food, if your link is being added on a site that only sells fish food you will acheive better results from that link if it is pointing to your fish food page.
