How Do I Get More Traffic For My Blog? How do I go about contacting blog owners for a link exchange? Do I place a link to their blog first on my blog and then ask them for a reciprocal link? Are their any decent blog communities? I think I have done the basics, but need to learn more.

Increase your back links!
One thing I would recommend is tracking down blog directories, and add your blog to them. Many of these directories are free.
As a site owner I only take link request that have already added my link to their site. Adding the site/blog first is a good faith gesture.
